GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) - Iola native Kristian Welch is staying close to home. The linebacker is re-signing with the Green Bay Packers the team announced on Thursday.
Welch joined Green Bay last season, coming over after three years in Baltimore. Welch started on the practice squad, before signing with the squad to play in 12 regular season games. He primarily served on special teams for the Packers, ranking third on the unit in tackles with six.
