ACC CHAMPIONS! Eagles Down Tar Heels for First ACC Title

GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the first time in program history, Boston College women's lacrosse secured the ACC championship on Sunday afternoon at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte.

The Eagles downed No. 3 seed North Carolina, 11-9, snapping the Tar Heels' run of six straight conference championships. It's the first ACC title in women's program history at BC and the second overall in school history.

Shea Dolce was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after posting 19 saves in three contests. Belle Smith, Jenn Medjid, Cassidy Weeks and Sydney Scales were named to the all-tournament team.
